West Wales Tropics Basketball Club held their 3rd annual junior training camp on August 20/21st, at Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland.  The aim of the camp is to introduce youngsters to the sport and to improve the basic skills of new and existing players.
32 players aged 10 to 18 attended the weekend and the Club were especially pleased to see an increase in the number of girls attending this year, with a third of the number being female.  Coaches Brett Henson, Dan Powell, Justin Thompson, Pete Tunstall and Adam and David Williams made the players work hard and were impressed by their attitude and athleticism across the entire weekend.  Awards were made to the following players, who each received a Molten ball donated by the camp sponsor, M2Training Ltd:
                  Hotshot                        Jacob Henson
                  Most Improved Boy     Tom Walters
                  Most Improved Girl      Zara Morgan
                  MVP Boy                    Owen Drew

West Wales Tropics would like to thank the coaches who all attend voluntarily, particularly Justin, Adam and David who all travel down from Neath.  We also thank the camp sponsors, M2Training for their kind support.
